Red light cameras
What do you think?
Should they stay or should they go, and are you going to vote when it comes to ballot?
Personally, I think that they should go. It's just a little too big brotherish for me. I'm glad its going up for vote.
Anyways, it's not a magical barrier that stops people from running red lights. Most accidents at red lights occur because people never saw the light at all.
I am voting for them. I can't tell you how many times I have to wait at a "green light" at Rock Prairie and Hwy6 frontage road while 2 to 3 cars continue turning left in front of me during my green light. When my light turns green, their left turning arrow stops and the light turns red, but that doesn't seem to mean much. I worry about a young driver who might assume that green means go and actually try to go straight and be crashed into by a left turning car. It's pretty ridiculous. The police can't be at every light. I don't feel it's invasion of my rights, but safety for my children.
